About Netherton Business Centre, started in 1991, was the first Rural Business Centre to be established in Scotland.
The Centre was established in order to provide quality office space with plenty of parking and first class internet access for companies that have realised the savings that can be made, as well as the enhanced quality of life for their staff from avoiding the stress of commuting.
Comprising a total of 19 office units in 3 traditional granite “steading” buildings, the Centre is located at the heart of Fetternear Estate, just outside Kemnay, in the Garioch area of Aberdeenshire.
Despite our stunning rural setting, we are only 15 minutes from Aberdeen’s Dyce Airport and 25 minutes from Aberdeen City itself.
This proposition has become even more important with ever-increasing fuel costs and the recognition by many companies that we must all contribute to make a real impact on Scotland’s carbon footprint.
The side benefits of being able to cycle and walk through the beautiful Fetternear Estate mean that office staff can also enjoy the countryside at its best during lunch breaks or travelling to and from work. Our local village, Kemnay, is a busy community of approaching 4000 people with quality shops, a post office, chemist, medical centre, hotel, garage and one of Aberdeenshire’s most successful golf courses.
Inverurie, the local town, is only 10 minutes away, further down the River Don and offers full banking services and a large choice of quality shops and services.
Netherton Business Centre is privately owned and managed. The on-site partners, David & Noelle Fyffe, live beside the Centre and ensure 24-hour access, as well as being there to deal with inconveniences on behalf of our tenants such as intruder alarm activations, out-of-hours deliveries, etc.
Our aim is to ensure a friendly informal, but businesslike environment which lends itself to efficiency and productivity and provides all the necessary facilities and services without the unnecessary expenses often associated with 3rd Party managed business premises. Our 2Mb private leased line ensures excellent broadband access for our tenants and this facility is due to be further upgraded soon when the Estate’s latest business projects are commenced, with the creation of Aberdeenshire’s first Residential Training Centre.
